A Creative Hangout Geared to Teens
The Teen Makers’ Lounge is a place to make stuff, try something new and hang out with other creative makers at the Painted Door Creative Hub.
Geared toward makers ages 13–17, but we’re not big on hard-and-fast age rules around here. If your maker is a little younger or older and the Lounge sounds like their kind of place, they’re welcome!
Every Wednesday features a different creative project or activity, with everything they need to make it included. Makers can come once, choose the projects that catch their eye, or make the Lounge a regular thing.
No six-week commitment. No need to be “artistic.” Just come create.

October 7 – Choose Your Own Embroidery Kit (Yep, we'll head into Painted Door and you get to choose your kit right off the wall!)
October 14 – Herbal Tea Bath Bombs (Rose petals, chamomile + lavender!)
October 21 – Crochet a Fall Pumpkin | Guest Host: Willing Hands Crochet
October 28 – Ghost Stories Shadow Box Painting (Layers of fun!)
November 4 – Slime Bar (Make + customize your own slime!)
November 11 – Make a Junk Journal (The crazier, the better!)
November 18 – Fantasy Desk Light (With a parts bar!) | Guest Host: Noodle Art
November 25 – Lip Balm Making (Mix + customize 8 organic lip balms!)

Wednesdays | 4:00–6:00 PM
$42 per Lounge night
Book 3+ spots in one order and pay $38 each
Mix and match nights and makers. Three nights for one maker, one night for three makers, or anything in between!
Minimum 6 | Maximum 12 makers
All materials + snacks & drinks included
A little creative flexibility: Occasionally, we may need to switch up a featured make. If we do, we promise to replace it with something just as awesome. Probably even better because we'll feel guilty and overcompensate.
Minimum Registration: Each Lounge night needs at least 6 registered makers. If we don’t reach our minimum 48 hours beforehand, the Lounge may be cancelled. You can move your registration to another available night or receive a full refund.
Community Maker Spot
We'd love for more young makers to have the chance to join us! Community Maker Spots are available for young makers whose families may find the cost of registration a barrier.

Want to help another young maker? Choose Help a Young Maker from the options above to toss $2 into our Community Maker Spot fund. Want to add in a little more? Just bump up the quantity. Every little bit helps us make more room for young makers!
Before Their First Lounge Night
After registration, parents/guardians will receive a short Lounge Participant Form for emergency contacts, allergies and arrival/pickup information. It only needs to be completed once per maker unless something changes.
