A Creative Hangout Just for Teens
The Teen Maker Lounge is a place to make stuff, try something new and hang out with other creative teens at the Painted Door Creative Hub.
Each Wednesday features a different featured make or creative activity, with all the materials and instruction included. Teens can sign up for the projects that catch their eye, come once, or make the Lounge a regular thing.
No six-week commitment. No need to be “artistic.” Just come create.
What Happens at the Lounge?
Each Lounge night has a featured project to get things started. We’ll explore all kinds of creative things, from painting, clay and fibre arts to jewellery, DIY projects, seasonal makes and some wonderfully weird ideas along the way.
Teens can work at their own pace, put their own spin on the project and enjoy some time to create and connect.
We’ll also have a light individually packaged snack and water available.

Choose one or come to as many as you’d like.
A little creative flexibility: Occasionally, we may need to switch up a featured make. If we do, we promise to replace it with something just as awesome (or even better!).

Ages 13–17
$42 per Lounge night
Book 3 or more and pay $38 per night
Minimum 6 | Maximum 12 teens per night
Minimum Registration: Each Lounge night requires a minimum of 6 registered teens. If the minimum isn’t reached 48 hours before the scheduled Lounge, the session may be cancelled. You’ll have the option to move your registration to another available Lounge night or receive a full refund.
All featured projects, supplies, a light snack and water are included. No previous crafting experience is needed.
Before Their First Lounge Night
After registration, parents/guardians will be sent a short Youth Participant Form with important information including emergency contacts, allergies and arrival and pickup details.
The form only needs to be completed once per teen, unless their information changes.
